Proofreading is the final stage of editing before publication. You should already have gone through multiple stages of editing and your manuscript is now as polished as you can get it before publication. In proofreading, we correct minor errors, not major developmental items. Proofing changes include: typos, inconsistencies in spelling or formatting, missing words, run-on sentences, and more.

Want to learn how to do something yourself? If your goals expand beyond an individual project and you want to increase your abilities in specific areas, you can hire us for one-on-one tutorial sessions or group classes. Want to learn better paragraphing? formal poetry? avoiding mixed metaphors? managing citations? tightening up syntax? mastering tone and diction? Beta Reading occurs around the same time as developmental editing. You must have a complete manuscript and it should already have gone through multiple rounds of revision before reaching a beta reader. Authors who come to Wyrdhoard for beta reading receive detailed feedback, comments, and/or a reader's report.

Marketing Consultations include a review of your current marketing efforts and advice on how to improve.

Marketing Training sessions cover how to get started with your own marketing, strategy, graphics, and more. We meet in multiple sessions to walk through aspects of digital marketing so you can learn and improve the skills to doing your own book marketing.

Distribution Training sessions cover the basics of getting your book out into the world. We will explore various avenues of publication to discover what is best for you, walk through how to format books, procure ISBNs, order proofs, secure copywrite, and make sure your book is accessible to as large an audience as possible.

Expand the audience of your work! If you think your story or academic work deserves to cross borders, we can help you with that. Translation occurs after your text is complete in its source language and will not undergo any more editing or revisions. The consultant can make annotations and we can chat about the best solutions for your story, paper, dissertation, or thesis.

Social media services include a social media consultation or social media marketing training.
