EDITING

Editing is as important as writing your book, though it looks and feels very different. Editing is turning the raw words into tightly crafted prose or poetry that communicates clearly and incisively. Having an outside reader with experience in organizing material and honing syntax allows you to see your own writing in a new light and polish it to its brightest possible sheen.

Students and scholars alike need a guide through the process. When you need a perspective outside your home institution, come to me for suggestions, advice, or tutorials on everything from choosing a topic to developing an argument, maximizing study time, annotating a text, tackling a dissertation, and more. I can also edit and/or proofread your papers, articles, thesis, or dissertation in literature and other humanities fields.
